Observing real estate is something that I have always enjoyed in particular, identifying properties with potential. I am pleased to have joined the team at Barfoot & Thompson Parnell; it's an area that I am very familiar with having lived in a number of the surrounding suburbs and now happily living in Parnell. Being able to walk to work is a plus. I enjoy meeting and engaging with new people which teams very well with my longstanding interest in the housing market.

My career prior to real estate has had plenty of variety. My first job on leaving school was in the textile industry and I was lucky enough to travel the world developing ranges and marketing and selling to clothing manufacturers. This lead to my wife and I starting our own clothing company and running it for 13 years. Ten years in finance followed.

Integrity in every transaction is essential and along with being well-organised and thorough I believe these characteristics will be of great benefit to me as a salesperson when marketing your property. Did I say I'm never late for an appointment? I'd rather be 20 minutes early than five minutes late. That's me!

When I'm not working I like to spend time with family, three children and two grandchildren - love them all. I am a very keen golfer (they say you meet the nicest people on the golf course), and being a member of a golf club provides a readymade network of contacts for both buyers and sellers. For some time now I have been involved in fund raising for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand which I find very rewarding.
