Doug Palmer is a Licensed Salesperson and Licensed Auctioneer with more than 23 years at Harcourts Paraparaumu. A long-time Kapiti Coast resident, Doug has sold more than $125 million worth of local real estate and is recognised as one of the leading auction agents in the Paraparaumu and Raumati areas.

Doug and his wife Jan worked together as a successful real estate partnership for many years, with Jan now supporting the business as Doug’s PA. Known for going the extra mile, they have assisted vendors with everything from property presentation and decluttering to landscaping and maintenance.

Doug is passionate about the Kapiti Coast, particularly Raumati South, where he has lived for more than 40 years. Outside real estate, he is heavily involved in community and charitable activities. He has raised significant funds for organisations including Bowel Cancer NZ, the Cancer Society, Mary Potter Hospice and other local charities through walking events and charity auctions.

Before entering real estate, Doug spent 25 years in education, including 18 years teaching mathematics at Kapiti College. He has also been active in local rugby, theatre and community organisations, including serving as President of Club Vista.

Doug is also a highly regarded charity auctioneer, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for community causes across the Wellington and Kapiti regions.
