Originally from the Manawatu, Leanne enjoyed an idyllic childhood growing up on the family farm in the scenic Pohangina Valley, spending her formative years actively involved in many aspects of the farm business. She went on to live and study in various parts of NZ and Australia, attaining professional qualifications in Law, Management and Marketing, earning first place throughout Australasia in her specialised field of Trust Law. The relationships established in the corporate world, and range of experience it produced, has given Leanne a distinct advantage in her real estate career, which began with Property Brokers in 2003.

A regular recipient of Property Brokers’ awards, Leanne’s results speak for themselves. She is often sought out for her impeccable eye for detail, creative flair, innovative marketing ideas, and ability to negotiate the very best outcome for those who engage her services. Her ‘clients for life’ individual approach is her clear priority, resulting in high levels of repeat and referral business. Leanne is known for her integrity, focus, and tenacity in the service she provides. She now works alongside her sister, Gaye Shortall, who provides valuable support in her role as Personal Assistant. Gaye is also a fully qualified realtor, juggling the demands of the position with a busy young family. She previously held senior nursing positions in both NZ and Australia.

Leanne and husband Marius, together with their two children, moved from Auckland to Feilding in 1999. A family with a zest for life, they are involved in a number of local organisations, and are very positive about the opportunities, growth and prosperity of the region. They support local enterprise and enjoy promoting the benefits of living in one of NZ’s most beautiful towns.
