"Any vendors can be delighted with the agent that sells their property when they achieve a record price in a nice quick timeframe, but our appreciation is based on our experience when things didn’t go as planned, and the whole sale was protracted and complex. We had very happily bought and sold a house from Anne many years ago, then rented out another home successfully with Des for 6 years, so when it came time to sell we didn’t even consider contacting another agency to sell it; we’re Team Anne & Emma all the way! We were assigned Jorvarn and he got straight to work, organising staging & cleaning for what we hoped would be a straight forward sale of the empty property with us as overseas vendors. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case, when the LIM was checked, it turned out that the previous owners had undertaken a renovation that whilst approved, hadn’t been consented by Council and we’d missed it when purchasing privately. So for the next six months it was a constant barrage of emails with builders, engineers and council with multiple visits to the property, for Jorvarn significantly over and above all the usual sales work with potential purchasers. And yet throughout all of this, unwavering in his warmth, good humour, calm tenacity and professionalism Jorvarn was there: answering every seemingly endless email/WhatsApp, text & call and enabling visits to the property by the various professionals in our stead. Over the many months it took to achieve Council sign off and sale, without his support, I think we may well have given up the sale and re-rented the property. But instead Jorvarn stuck with us, and supported us tirelessly (actually the poor guy was probably very tired at points, I know we were!) to achieve a successful sale. In our experience, Jorvarn is an exceptional person actually, he’s not only highly organised and strategic, but also warm and compassionate and he didn’t waiver from this for six long months.
